Finally got these from Nemo. Good thing we had Emelie with us in the Maldives so she could take these lovely photos. Why did I ever leave?

A beautiful place with great waves. I'll just let the photos speak for themselves.

Since we were going to the Maldives we didn't care as much about the surf during the last days. Went over to a place called whiskey point and took it easy. Surf a bit in the slow waves there but mostly just relaxed in the restaurant next to it. Finished Sri Lanka with a double fish and chicken burger with extra cheese and bacon. That was a good burger!

Apparently you are suppose to go on the back of an uncomfortable truck and look at some animals when you are in Sri Lanka. That and climb some mountain in the middle of the night and watch some tea fields (which the others just left for). So we got on the truck and bumped away down south. Did get a surf stop at a pretty nice spot, where we have been a couple of more times now. Didn't see many more animals that we hadn't already seen beside the streets though. Lots of buffalos, some elephants, flamingos and other birds. No big cats. We apparently didn't go to the right part of the national park. The cameras were going of constantly though.. We also went with one of the tuktuk drivers to the local market and bought tons of food that he cooked for us that evening. Very nice.

The Sri Lankan days have been pretty good. Waking up ridiculously early. Riding a tuktuk somewhere. Usually to main point since it is the only point that picks up enough swell. Going out just before it gets light. Hopefully catching a few waves before the crowds arrive. The record so far has been 40 people before 6 am.. Then riding the tuktuk back home for a big breakfast. Perhaps another tuktuk ride to see if there are any waves somewhere els. Surfing some more. Relaxing, eating and finish the day off with some ping pong. It can be better though. Thats why we are flying over to the Maldives on Monday. That will be epic.

Has been in Sri Lanka for a week. Trying to get as much surfing in as possible and staying away from the big old interweb. Starting every morning at 4:45 to be out in the water at first light. Waves have been a bit small but still ok. Me and Alexandro are sitting at the restaurant where we are staying, doing the "vacation sign"..
